Lehigh's chapter of challah for hunger
Although our club is still fairly new to Lehigh, we have already made great progress. Anyone is encouraged to join club! We meet monthly to discuss previous sales, upcoming sales, challah flavor possibilities, and ways to improve our fundraising. Also monthly, we meet up to bake our challah and then sell them the following day. The club provides a fun opportunity to meet other students and get involved.
Our club donates half of the profits to MAZON: "A Jewish Response to Hunger" and the other half to Lehigh Valley's Meals on Wheels!
Please note that our club has no religious affiliations; all are welcome and encouraged to join!
On baking days, club members team up with the Upper Court bakery staff for assistance with baking and braiding the challahs.
At each sale, two different flavors of challah are distributed in the UC. There is a suggested $5 donation per challah.
